A LOOK AT WHO’S ON THE MOVE ON OAHU

JORDYN ORIOLE is the new sales and events manager for the Mina Group’s Stripsteak Waikiki and The Street Food Hall. Oriole has prior experience in marketing with BLT Steak Trump International, BLT Market of Ritz-Carlton Residences Waikiki Beach as well as at Morton’s The Steakhouse at Ala Moana Center. She graduated from Hawaii Pacific University with a bachelor’s degree in marketing. Possessing a passion for innovative cuisine and event planning, she is slated to bring a fresh, effective approach to the company.

SUSAN HIRANO is Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties’ newest independent agent at the firm’s Kahala office. She holds nearly 20 years of real estate experience including working at Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Highland Park, Illinois. Hirano moved to Hawaii from Philadelphia in 2017, and most recently served as a realtor-associate at LIST Sotheby’s International Realty in Honolulu.

JEAN DICKINSON steps in as senior director of integrated marketing at PacRim Marketing Group. In her new role, Dickinson will spearhead the communications firm’s marketing team on multilingual specialists in Honolulu and Tokyo as well as be responsible for client brand and positioning objectives. She joins the company from Marriott International where she was area director of communications for Hawaii.

RYAN YOSHIMOTO moves up to store manager at City Mill in Waianae. Yoshimoto, a City Mill team member for 22 years, will be responsible for all store operations of the West Oahu location. He joined the City Mill team in 1996 as a sales associate and has advanced among several roles throughout his years of service to receiver, supervisor and assistant manager.

KATIE STEPHENS joins AHL, a local architecture firm, as the new lead of its historic architecture studio. Stephens, a historic architect, brings 26 years of experience in historic preservation projects to her new role. She previously served on projects such as historic military, government building rehabilitation projects, environmental evaluations and other architectural projects. Stephens earned a master’s degree from the University of Hawaii and her bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado – Boulder.

ANDREW WHELEN takes over as vice president and technical director of micro-biology at Diagnostic Laboratory Services Inc. (DLS) His duties include overseeing the technical direction and clinical consultation in conventional and molecular testing for infectious diseases. Whelen served as Hawaii state laboratories director for the Department of Health for 12 years just prior to joining DLS. He received his bachelor’s degree from South Dakota State University and his Ph.D. in microbiology from University of North Dakota.
