A LOOK AT WHO’S ON THE MOVE ON OAHU
GINA MARCOFF is the vice president of education and development for FCH Enterprises Inc., the parent company of Zippy’s Restaurants and other companies. She will be in charge of leading a team of training professionals to further develop the skills and processes of the workforce to ensure that the brand can successfully enter new markets. Marcoff brings more than 20 years of training and development experience to the Zippy’s team. Previously, she served as the vice president of training and development at Pei Wei Asian Diner.
JON YAMAMURA now is a co-chair of Carlsmith Ball LLP. He joins the leadership team of one of the largest law firms in Hawaii, where he has been a long-time attorney. Yamamura will continue his active client work while also developing the next generation of lawyers to lead the firm. He received his bachelor’s degree from Stanford University and graduated from the University of California Los Angeles School of Law.
RADS FELIX joins Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties as an independent agent at the firm’s Leeward office. Born and raised in Oahu, Felix is a graduate of James Campbell High School. Before becoming a part of the residential real estate brokerage company team, he worked at the Hilton Hawaiian Village and Pacific Beach Hotel, bringing more than 12 years of experience in the hospitality industry into this new position.
CHELSEA BOWES advances to director of communications and special projects for the Chamber of Commerce Hawaii. She will be in charge of planning and executing the Chamber of Commerce’s communications strategy and special projects across the departments. Prior to joining the Chamber of Commerce, Bowes served as web/communications specialist with the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages in Alexandria, Virginia. She has a bachelor’s degree in English from Christopher Newport University and a master’s degree in communication from George Mason University, both in Virginia.
CHERYL WILLIAMS moves in as the regional vice president of sales and marketing in Hawaii for Highgate. In this position, she will be responsible for overseeing Highgate’s expanding portfolio of Hawaii properties, including the newly launched Alohilani Resort. Williams, who has more than three decades of experience as a leader in the hospitality industry, most recently served as the vice president of sales and marketing for Starwoods Hotels & Resorts in Hawaii and French Polynesia.
TIM JOHNS of Zephyr Insurance Company Inc. is the new president and CEO. He brings extensive experience in business and government, and is actively involved in the community. Before joining the company, Johns served as the chief consumer officer at the Hawaii Medical Service Association (HMSA) where he was responsible for consumer sales, government programs, underwriting and rating, consumer advocacy, community affairs, marketing and communications, government relations, legal services, investments and the HMSA Foundation.
