SHELBY MCDONALD steps into a new role at Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific (REHAB) as its director of compliance and chief compliance officer. Previously the director of inpatient therapy services, she now will be responsible for establishing staff education and training programs regarding updated regulations, new standards and laws. McDonald also will spearhead REHAB’s accreditation process.

MATT APANA is the new station manager of Blow Up LLC in addition to his role as the company’s general sales manager. Blow Up is the owner and operator of Honolulu AM radio stations KKEA and KHKA, of which Apana will assume its programming, promotions and production responsibilities — to name a few. He joined the company as an account executive in 2007.

BETH-ANN KOZLOVICH of Kahi Mohala Sutter Health will now lead the nonprofit psychiatric hospital’s fund development. Most recently, Kozlovich served as executive producer for Hawaii Public Radio (HPR). She has been awarded for her commitment to mental health issues in her work with HPR, as well as her contributions to mental health education and psychology in Hawaii.

JAYSEN KIM moves up as vice president and commercial real estate officer with Central Pacific Bank (CPB). He now is in charge of managing and growing a portfolio of commercial real estate loans. Kim brings nearly two decades of finance industry experience with three of those years at CPB. He earned his bachelor’s degree in finance and information systems from New York University and a Master of Business Administration degree from University of Pennsylvania.

GRANT NOUCHI now is hotel manager at Courtyard by Marriott Waikiki Beach. He will lead every aspect of daily operations at the 403-room property. Nouchi holds more than 20 years of hospitality experience, previously serving as resort director for the Hilton Grand Vacation Timeshare towers at Hilton Hawaiian Village. He attended Oregon State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree.

PATTI BLEZARD has been appointed as the new assistant vice president of property accounting at Aqua-Aston Hospitality where she will oversee and produce resort and condominium financial reporting and owner-reporting of all properties managed by Aqua Aston. Prior to joining the company, Blezard held several financial and financial-management positions at Outrigger and OHANA hotels.
