ALOFA TAEI advances to program manager for Kupu’s Conservation Leadership Development Program and VISTA (Volunteers In Service To America) Program. She will manage both programs, working with 35-50 program coordinators throughout the year, as well as supporting several members in American Samoa and on Kuaihelani (Midway) Atoll. Taei has fi ve years experience in the conservation and green jobs sector. Prior to Kupu, Taei was a sales representative and produce packer for Nalo Farms.
DOUG BROWN joins American Savings Investment Services as a fi – nancial consultant. He holds Series 7, 63 and 65 securities registrations, as well as life, accident and health insurance licenses. He is a member of the Financial Planning Association of Hawaii and the Military Offi cers Association of America.
TIFFANY HUYNH joins Elemental Excelerator as director of external affairs. In collaboration with Hawaii’s corporate, education and startup communities, Huynh will help guide and develop the next phase of external affairs for the Excelerator. She most recently was at Anthology Marketing Group, where she managed client relationships across all major sectors in Hawaii. She also led marketing for REHAB Hospital of the Pacifi c in Honolulu and the Financial Services Institute of Australasia.
JUSTIN SALGADO steps in as sales account manager at Atlas Insurance Agency Inc. He brings to the position 12 years of insurance industry experience. In his new role, Salgado underwrites new and renewal personal lines accounts, and provides assistance and support in maintaining, expanding, and servicing accounts. Salgado is a U.S. Air Force veteran and received his degree in business management from Portland State University.
