A LOOK AT WHO’S ON THE MOVE ON OAHU

DANA TAKUSHI advances to senior executive vice president at Bank of Hawaii. In her new role, she oversees Kalai Services Group, Private Banking and Trust Services Group. Takushi joined Bank of Hawaii in 1993 and progressed into a number of leadership positions. She earned her bachelor of business administration degree in finance from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and earned her Certified Treasury Professional degree from the Association for Financial Professionals in 2001.

SCOTT CHRISTIE joins Armstrong Builders as superintendent. As part of his duties, he provides leadership and support on commercial and residential projects. Christie has more than 20 years of industry experience. Prior to joining Armstrong Builders, he worked as a project manager on custom homes in Denver but has spent most of his career as project manager and lead carpenter building multi-million dollar custom homes on the shores of Lake Michigan.

MICHAEL SAINES steps in as chief financial officer at Avalon Group. He will be instrumental in securing financing for Avalon’s projects. Saines is a 24-year veteran in derivatives trading, risk management and investment finance and has held senior positions at Merrill Lynch Japan, Toji Trading Group, Citadel and Evolution Investment Advisors. Saines has a bachelor’s degree in political science and a minor in international affairs from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst.

MAILE AU advances to senior executive director of alumni relations at the University of Hawaii Foundation. In this elevated role, Au is responsible for leading a comprehensive engagement program for alumni around the globe. She joined the UH Foundation in 2008 as director of alumni engagement. Au earned her master’s degree from the UH Shidler College of Business and her bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California.
