A LOOK AT WHO’S ON THE MOVE ON OAHU

HENRY SCHWARTZ joins Outrigger Hospitality Group as vice president and chief information officer. He will provide vision and leadership in developing and implementing global Information Technology (IT) strategies, initiatives, capabilities, policies, procedures and organization to support Outrigger’s goals and direction. Schwartz comes to Outrigger from KSL Resorts where he assisted and helped plan numerous IT projects in conjunction with Outrigger’s IT team.

DEL ROMAN advances to director of perioperative services for The Queen’s Medical Center at Punchbowl. She will provide administrative leadership and oversight for the same day surgery center, the main operating room, the kidney stone center, and the hospital-based endoscopy suites. Roman most recently served as the manager of the main operating room at Queen’s.

KARLA CASEY joins Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties as an independent agent and global luxury specialist at the firm’s Diamond Head-Kahala office. Casey previously operated her own brokerage, Casey & Associates, in Hawaii Kai. When her company was acquired by LIST Sotheby’s International Realty, Casey was appointed as broker-in-charge of the Ala Moana office and vice president of the corporation.

JOSEPH STEPEC steps in as director of orchestral activities at the Hawaii Youth Symphony (HYS). He will oversee the artistic and educational aspects of the three orchestras in the HYS Symphony Program, as well as conduct Youth Symphony I, the organization’s high school ensemble. Stepec is also an assistant professor of music and director of orchestras at the University of Hawaii at Manoa’s Music Department.
