JULIE INOUYE steps up as director of development at the John A. Burns School of Medicine. As director, she will work to expand fundraising efforts and broaden philanthropic support for the medical school’s students, programs, research and faculty. Inouye served as the associate director of development and alumni engagement for the school since 2016.

HANS LENTZ joins the Hawaii Convention Center as its new executive chef. He has nearly three decades of experience in culinary management, working at resorts and convention centers locally and globally. In his new role, Lentz will spearhead the center’s 20,000-square-foot on-site kitchen.

MICHAEL TANOUE advances to vice president, general counsel at Island Insurance. In this position, he is responsible for company strategic initiatives, policy management, legal strategy, compliance and regulatory filings. Tanoue has nearly 35 years of legal experience, most recently at The Pacific Law Group, and is a former adjunct professor of law at the William S. Richardson School of Law.

MAURA DOLORMENTE joins Aloha United Way as director of marketing and communications. A long-time industry veteran, she previously served as the director of marketing and public relations for Blood Bank of Hawaii. Dolormente will work closely with Olomana Loomis ISC, recently engaged by Aloha United Way to provide strategic planning, marketing and public relations support.
