MADELEINE YOUNG advances to director at Damon Key Leong Kupchak Hastert. Young joined the firm in 2013 and practices in the trusts and estates, and business and commercial law groups. Prior to joining the firm, Young worked as an attorney for several years in the Legal Aid Society of Hawaii’s Asset Protection Unit, primarily litigating on behalf of indigent persons in federal court.

MIKE BIECHLER joins Porter McGuire Kiakona & Chow LLP as an associate attorney. Biechler earned his law degree from the William S. Richardson School of Law at the University of Hawaii with certificates in environmental and Native Hawaiian law. He joins the firm’s growing association practice, including litigation, collections and covenant violations, which serves clients on Oahu and the neighbor islands.

TRAVIS CLEGG starts as new chief operating officer at Straub Medical Center. Clegg will manage all clinical and business operations for the 159-bed medical center in Honolulu and its clinic locations statewide. He most recently served as vice president of operations at Adventist Health Castle in Kailua. He also chaired the strategic planning, innovation and leadership development teams for the center.

MELONNA CANTWELL, Realtor-associate, begins in Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties’ Leeward office as an independent agent. Before joining Coldwell, Cantwell served as a property management assistant at Angie Ho Realty. She has degrees in education and business administration, and has experience in accounting working with the U.S. Air Force. Originally from the Philippines, Cantwell relocated to Hawaii in 2004.
