A LOOK AT WHO’S ON THE MOVE ON OAHU

MOLLY MAHONEY joins Armstrong Builders as a project engineer. She will provide preconstruction services and oversee quality control, material management and subcontractor coordination during project construction. Prior to joining Armstrong Builders, Mahoney worked as a project engineer at Swinerton Builders. She also previously served as an estimator and project engineer at Nan Inc. Mahoney received her bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Loyola Marymount University.

BLANE ASAO advances to assistant vice president and branch manager at Central Pacific Bank. He is responsible for overseeing the operations and productivity of the bank’s main branch in Downtown Honolulu. Asao has more than 30 years of experience in the financial industry. He most recently was a senior institutional deposit services officer for Central Pacific Bank, and previously served as manager of the Kahala branch for over four years.

JAK HU takes over as general manager of Queen Kapiolani Hotel, Waikiki Beach. With several decades of experience in the hospitality industry, he brings extensive hotel operations and management experience, as well as a deep understanding of the Hawaiian market. Hu will work closely with the ownership team and Kokua Hospitality, overseeing all operations, sales and marketing initiatives, food and beverage programming, and accounting.

KATHRYN NELSON steps in as senior vice president of philanthropy at Hawaii Community Foundation. Prior to joining Hawaii Community Foundation, she held leadership positions such as vice president for advancement at Punahou School, vice president of development at the University of Hawaii Foundation, and vice president and managing director at Grenzebach Glier and Associates, an international philanthropic management consulting firm.
